Time is Swiftly Approaching

Time is swiftly approaching for the Family Violence Program’s We Give Hope 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Walk which will take place on October 4th at 8:30 a.m.  Many have signed up to volunteer, sponsor and run in the event.  If interested, you can sign up on active.com or contact the Family Resource Agency at 423-303-3519.  In addition to raising funds for our Family Violence Program, participants will have a chance to win awards and

Inaugural We Give Hope 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk

Come join us for the Inaugural We Give Hope 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk sponsored by the Family Violence Program and Family Resource Agency.  The USATF Certified course is flat and fast and takes place on the scenic Greenway in Cleveland, TN.  5K race will be chip timed.  The course will start and finish at Tinsley Park, going out 1.6 miles on the Greenway and returning on the same route.  Snacks and refreshments

Congratulations to our brave clients!

Congratulations to our brave clients who just finished their six-week HEALING (Helping, Empowering, Advancing, Listening, Inspiring, Nurturing and Growing) Group.  Topics for group included self-esteem, dealing with depression and anxiety and self-care.  Our next group will be held some time in September of 2014.  Be watching the events calendar to find out more information.

The Family Violence Program takes donations of used cell phones.

The Family Violence Program takes donations of used cell phones.  Some of the phones are given to victims of domestic violence for the purpose of calling 911.  Others are sent to a program called Shelter Alliance, which reimburses us for each phone we send to them.  No phone is off limits.  They will even take broken phones.  If you would like to donate your old or used cell phone please drop it off at the
